About

THE FARM in Allen, located in the fastest growing area of the DFW metroplex, is a 135 acre, mixed use development that caters to the communities around it.

The land has been a north Texas farm throughout its entire history. Acres of prairie grasses waving in wind along with fields of cotton were common for many years. The property has been owned by the Johnson family since 1964 and served not only as a working farm but also a great place for family to gather and enjoy the laid back relaxation of being in the “country”, hiking through the woods and exploring the Watters Creek area full of beaver and other wild life. The farm was also the site to a number of church picnics and community events. It is those relaxed, back to nature, unique memories that the Johnson family and JaRyCo Development have used as guidance in the creation of THE FARM in Allen.

Timeline

March 31, 2021 – Allen-based developer JaRyCo has started construction on The Farm in Allen, a 135-acre mixed use project at the southeast corner of Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Drive in Allen, Texas. Work will begin with the development's infrastructure, including the roads and utilities, followed by construction of West Lake Park, the phase one trails and the public parking garage - (JaRyCo)

November 29, 2021 - Infrastructure work is wrapping up at The Farm in Allen. Nearly all streets have been poured, utilities are complete and paver installation is underway. We expect building construction to begin in the next few weeks with the start of the first urban residential project and The Hub. Right after the start of the new year, the Public Parking Garage will begin along with construction of West Lake Park. If you think the site has changed in the last six months, just wait until you see what it looks like by mid-2022.  (JaRyCo)
