Register on our website and search thousands of updated listings, including properties not available on other sites. Every renter who registers is offered personalized assistance from a licensed Apartment Locating Specialist at no cost to you.

Is your service really free?

Yes. Our apartment locating service is completely free to renters. We have listing agreements with nearly every apartment community in Texas. When you sign a lease and list us as your referral source, the property pays us a referral commission. That's how the service stays free for you.

Does using this service affect any specials offered by the apartment community?

No. Our service does not affect rental rates or move-in specials in any way. Properties fund our commission through their advertising budget. In many cases, our specialists can help you access deals and negotiate on your behalf.

Can I use this service again if I've used it before?

Yes. There's no limit on how many times you can use our apartment locating service.

I'm moving within the same apartment community. Do I qualify for Cash Back?

No. We must have referred you to the community for you to qualify. Cash Back is available when you sign a new lease at a community we referred you to.

How much Cash Back can I earn?

Eligible renters can earn up to $200 in Move-In Cash through Stake. The exact amount is determined based on your lease and the community where you sign. If you get our mobile app, you can be eligible to earn even more.

How do I receive my Cash Back?

Cash Back is deposited into your Stake account. Once you report your lease and meet the qualifying criteria for your account tier, Move-In Cash is available instantly.

How long does it take to receive Cash Back?

Once you've hit the qualifying steps in the Stake mobile app, your Move-In Cash is available instantly. If you don't want to use the app, you can always request a check in the mail but it takes 4-5 months for property confirmation.

Is there a time limit on reporting my lease?

Submit your lease report within 60 days of signing. Contact your Locating Specialist or call 800-863-0603 if you need help completing this step.

What determines the amount of my Move-In Cash?

Your Move-In Cash is based on your monthly rent. If your rent is $1,500 or more, you're eligible for $200. If your rent is below $1,500, you're eligible for $100. In rare cases, a community may offer a referral fee below our standard threshold. Your Locating Specialist can confirm your eligible amount.

How do I get help finding an apartment?

Register on our website and provide your phone number and email. You'll be assigned to an apartment consultant within 24 hours. Need immediate assistance? Call 800-863-0603.

Does speaking with an apartment consultant cost me anything?

No. Every renter receives personalized apartment finding assistance at no cost.

How does working with an apartment consultant benefit me?

Your consultant will gather your criteria, i.e. location, budget, amenities, and send you a curated list of matching properties. They'll verify current pricing and move-in specials, confirm floor plan availability, and work with you through the lease process. They also make sure your referral source is correctly recorded so your Cash Back is not affected.

How are your Locating Specialists qualified?

Every specialist is a licensed real estate agent with experience helping Texas renters. They know the local rental market and can guide you toward the right neighborhood, price point, and property.

Why does this site show more listings than other rental sites?

Our business model is different. It's free for apartment communities to list with us. We only earn a commission when a renter signs a lease and lists us as their referral source. Most rental sites charge advertising fees, so many communities don't list there. We've secured listing agreements with nearly every community in the Texas markets we serve.

Can I view property details without registering?

Unregistered users can see summary information on every community we serve. For full listing details, create a free account. Access is completely free and your information is kept strictly confidential per our privacy policy.

Do you share my personal information?

No. Your information is kept strictly confidential and is never shared with third parties without your consent.

Are the rent amounts on your site up to date?

We make every effort to ensure pricing and move-in specials reflect the most current information available. All communities are contacted at minimum once per month to update their listings. Even so, we recommend verifying current pricing directly with the community before making any decisions. Your Locating Specialist can also make those calls on your behalf.

Why isn't a specific property showing on your site?

Some communities do not work with apartment locators. In those cases, we may show limited or no information for that property, and Cash Back would not apply to a lease signed there. If you're having trouble finding a specific community, call us at 800-863-0603 to confirm.

I requested an email of my favorite listings but it didn't arrive. What should I do?

First, confirm your email address is correct in your profile. If the address is correct, check your spam or junk folder. Mark our email as “not spam” and add us as a trusted sender. If you still need help, contact your Locating Specialist or call our office.

Referral Program Questions

What is the Referral Program?

When you refer a friend or family member who signs a lease through our service, you earn a referral gift.

What are the requirements to receive a referral gift?

The person you referred must find their apartment through our service and correctly list us as their referral source. Contact our office to make sure the referral is recorded in our system. Once the referred renter signs their lease, you'll receive your referral gift.

How will you know I referred someone?

Ask the person you referred to mention your name when they contact us. You can also call our office directly to confirm the referral. Either way, once it's recorded you'll receive your gift after they sign.

Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?

No. You can refer as many renters as you like.

Does my referral affect the referred renter's Cash Back?

No. Your referral gift does not affect the Cash Back the referred renter earns in any way.
