It is actually somewhat uncommon for a small town like Shavano Park to have their own fire and police crews when a big city like San Antonio is so close so this is just another thing that helps keep residents of Shavano Park safe and protected in an emergency.

Shavano Park residents also have access to multiple public schools depending on which part of the city they're located in. None of the schools are immediately within Shavano Park as they are part of San Antonio but the public school system coordinates things well with Shavano Park and other nearby cities that are separate from San Antonio. Overall Shavano Park is a very popular neighborhood with plenty of features and amenities that make it popular with residents. Obviously the location of Shavano Park is really quite convenient as there is plenty to do in San Antonio. Commuting to any part of San Antonio is also quite simple thanks to the multiple roadways and highways in the area as well as the public transport systems that run through Shavano Park and other parts of downtown San Antonio.
