Alamo Heights Apartments

Alamo Heights is a small urban city located entirely within San Antonio; due to the fact that it is surrounded by San Antonio is it not surprising that Alamo Heights is only a few square miles and despite the small size Alamo heights has become a relatively popular town in the area. Obviously the biggest draw to Alamo Heights is the location and convenience thanks to the close proximity to San Antonio but there are plenty more reasons why people often choose to move to Alamo Heights.

Due to the size of Alamo Heights there really isn't much space for a huge population; despite this there are still over 7000 residents. The city is no longer expanding in size since San Antonio has annexed all surrounding land as well but at this time the city of Alamo Heights has no intensions of ever becoming a part of San Antonio itself. Being that Alamo Heights is in fact an independent city there are also multiple public projects and city government organizations that take place within the city. Alamo Heights is home to the Alamo Heights school district which serves all of the residents of the city as well as some others that live in surrounding portions of San Antonio. Alamo Heights also has outdoor public parks that are accessible to any residents and of course there are plenty of parks and outdoor areas in surrounding parts of San Antonio as well. There is also an official Alamo Heights public library but it is actually located on property owned by the city of San Antonio rather than Alamo Heights itself. Being so closely surrounded by San Antonio really does make it easy for residents to get to everything they need in most cases.

Overall Alamo Heights is a very popular city simply due to the fact that it is part of San Antonio while still remaining independent. Many people enjoy the fact that they are able to essentially live in San Antonio without officially living inside of the city. If you are looking for something a little bit more laid back and a little less busy then there are multiple suburban cities that would be a much better choice but for what is essentially a downtown neighborhood Alamo Heights is incredibly popular.
