The Dominion is a master planned community outside of San Antonio that is well known as an affluent and successful neighborhood. Given the fact that it was completely planned community The Dominion has plenty of great features and luxuries that you won't find in many other neighborhoods in the area. The Dominion was originally established in the 1980s and throughout the 1980s and 1990s the development project continued to expand and develop more and more land until the neighborhood eventually reached the maximum size. Ever since then more homes have been being built into available plots of land in and around The Dominion.
During much of the 2000s The Dominion became an incredibly exclusive neighborhood as well. Due to the popularity and quality of The Dominion it was often quite difficult to move into the area; homes often sold quite rapidly and for top dollar. The demand in the area is still quite high which has helped keep property values higher than average but there is not nearly as much competition in the area as there used to be. As such it is completely possible for nearly anyone to move to the area if they desire. Obviously being a premier community The Dominion has to have attractions and amenities that other neighborhoods don't; within The Dominion is a full country club which offers golf and other activities as well as dozens of popular and exclusive events each year.
Within The Dominion you will also find that there are multiple subdivisions that offer their own mix of experiences and styles. Each mini neighborhood has unique rules and regulations as well as their own neighborhood organization so even though they are part of The Dominion it is a separate community all together. The biggest difference between the various divisions of The Dominion is the value or price of homes offered; certain sections are incredibly expensive and luxurious while others offer more affordable and practical housing. Whichever part of The Dominion you decide to look at you will likely be quite impressed; The Dominion is well designed and well laid out so access if quick and easy while still being somewhat restrictive. There are dozens of nearby shopping centers and entertainment districts as well; most importantly it only takes a few minutes to get to downtown San Antonio from The Dominion which makes it great for anyone looking to commute downtown for work or entertainment.
