From SW Loop 820 and South Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas, drive south on South Freeway. Take the ramp to your left onto I-35W S. Burleson, TX, was founded in 1881 to serve as a halfway stop for trains traveling between Waco and Denison. For many decades, it remained a sleepy farming town, but the population began to grow in 1960 when Interstate 35W was built through the town.
