Hutto Texas is a rapidly growing suburb just over 20 miles outside of downtown Austin. Hutto is also considered to be a suburb of Round Rock Texas though Austin is still the dominant city in the area. Surprisingly there are quite a few residents given how small the city is; the city of Hutto is only 1 square mile but recent population estimates indicate that over 15,000 people call the city home. Given the small area and large population Hutto has a large number of small residences and homes in order to accommodate such a high population density.
Like many Texas cities the city of Hutto was founded in 1876 thanks to the railroad moving into the area. Thanks to the railroad stop built by the railroad company many people began to move into the area and a small town was eventually established. The rest if history; more and more people began moving into the area and eventually the city of Hutto was officially incorporated. Hutto is now an incredibly prosperous and popular suburb of Austin.
One thing that Hutto is particularly well known for is the city high school's football program. Texas high school football has always been a big deal and the city of Hutto is proud of their high school team for the many achievements and successful seasons. Hutto is truly a proud city as the entire community always rallies with their hometown high school football team. Of course Hutto also has plenty of other sports and activities going on in the many parks and recreation areas within the city or in surrounding areas. As for shopping and dining there are numerous places to choose from within Hutto and once again there is an abundance of selections within a short drive.
The fact that Hutto is a relatively small town makes it difficult for there to be too many amenities, shops, and restaurants directly within the city limits but there are fortunately dozens of bordering towns that provide nearly all necessary things. Shopping and dining is never far away and if all else fails a short drive can get you to either downtown Austin or Round Rock for any of the many entertainment and shopping opportunities that are available in the big city.
