Northlake Information

Northlake is a quiet, rural community in Denton County. At the time of its incorporation in 1960, Northlake consisted of farms and ranchlands and 10 years later only had a population of 20 people. The community is experiencing a period of growth and currently has 2,300 residents. It is generally a more mature residential area with a focus on rural values and traditions.

City life is often stressful and tiresome. The peaceful and humble town of Northlake provides the perfect opportunity to escape from the woes of daily life. Nevertheless, Northlake isn't too far that accessing the rest of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex becomes a hassle. A short ride on Highway 35W puts commuters in the heart of Denton to the north or Fort Worth to the south. Westlake, Argyle, Roanoke, Flower Mound, and South Lake are all with quick commuting distance. Several large manufacturing and corporate businesses, like JC Penny, Motorola, and Fidelity Investments, are within miles and employ many residents from Northlake.

For the avid NASCAR fan, the Texas Motor Speedway is located at the southernmost part of the town. Other attractions include access to collegiate and professional sporting events and popular entertainment destinations like Six Flags or the Fort Worth Cultural District. Northlake is a part of the Northwest, Argyle, and Ponder Independent School Districts. If you're looking to expand your educational experience, the campuses of North Central Texas College, Texas Woman's University and the University of North Texas are also nearby.

The quality of life for Northlake residents is higher than the Texas and national average. Those interested in rental properties can expect to find a lot of rental properties within city limits. With its growth, residents are already witnessing the establishment of new developments and city wide projects. Northlake's quiet and unique community values make this area attractive for renters looking to take advantage of quality housing and location.
