Azle Information
Azle Texas is approximately 15 miles northwest of Fort Worth and it is a fairly popular residential area. Azle is located close enough to popular areas like Fort Worth to make it a good place for commuters to live. As suburban towns have become more and more popular Azle has seen an increase in population and residences because more and more people are obviously moving out of the cities into slightly more secluded homes. This is exactly why Azle is a great option for anyone looking for housing within driving distance of Dallas/Fort Worth without being too close or too far. Azle also offers a variety of unique amenities and a rich history like so many nearby towns.
Perhaps the most popular thing with Azle Texas is Eagle Mountain Lake; Eagle Mountain Lake is a very popular tourist attraction because of the incredible boating, fishing and swimming opportunities. Having a great tourist area nearby like this definitely brings in some jobs and revenue for residents but more importantly it provided those who live in Azle with something to do in their spare time. Obviously driving to Dallas or Fort Worth will open up a ton of opportunities for entertainment and shopping but it is always nice to have something within the immediate vicinity.
People have reportedly been living in the area now known as Azle since the mid 1840s but obviously it is difficult to verify such history. It is quite well known however that Azle was home to dozens of large farms and plantations through history and this is what many say likely brought people to the area. As industry and commerce began to expand westward many parts of Texas, including Azle, saw significant increases in residents as well as job opportunities. Ever since the city was officially incorporated it has been growing steadily and much of that growth is still ongoing today.
Overall the city of Azle is a great place to live and work and thanks to the various nearby cities there are always plenty of things to do. The combination of location, businesses, and nearby entertainment really makes Azle a good option when it comes to suburban cities located near the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There might be larger or slightly newer suburban towns nearby but Azle is still a great town with plenty of history and tradition so it should not be counted out when looking for a new home or apartment in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
