The Brookhaven area in Dallas is located in northwest Dallas and thanks to the various attractions in the area it is a fairly popular area. The biggest attraction or business in the Brookhaven area is actually the Brookhaven College for which the area is named; obviously Brookhaven College must be fairly large to have an entire neighborhood district named after it and the college is in fact quite large. Thanks to rapid expansion recently Brookhaven College is actually the largest undergraduate school in the entire state of Texas.

The area surrounding Brookhaven College has essentially developed into a residential neighborhood due to the massive inflow of people from the various companies in the area as well as the school. Brookhaven offers a variety of apartments and home choices which makes it easy for basically everyone to find a home that suits their needs and desires while still staying within basically any budget. Given the location Brookhaven is also quite popular with many people that plan to work in downtown Dallas or even downtown Fort Worth; both cities are less than 45 minutes away which means a daily commute is definitely bearable but at the same time Brookhaven is a nice quiet neighborhood that gives its residents the feeling of being separated from the big cities. If you're looking for a suburban home in the Dallas or Fort Worth area than the Brookhaven area of Dallas is definitely worth considering; much of the traffic and population in the area is local only which means there isn't a lot of congestion in most places but at the same time the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth are more than close enough.

Overall Brookhaven College and the surrounding residential areas are great places to live. Few other semi-suburban areas offer the variety and convenience you will find in the area surrounding Brookhaven College while still being somewhat close to a city. Brookhaven may be a bit farther outside of the city than many people would like but it is definitely close enough to commute as long as you are willing to drive for 30 to 45 minutes every day to get to work. If you want something closer or more conveniently located in regards to downtown Dallas then obviously there are better choices but in all other aspects the Brookhaven College area is simply a great place to live.
