The city of Olmos Park is a very wealthy and very well known city located just outside of San Antonio. According to recent census data Olmos Park is actually the second wealthiest location in San Antonio which is definitely noticeable if you visit the area. Olmos Park is primarily a residential area and due to the wealth of many residents it is very well taken care of and very well designed. Many of the homes and properties are also quite large compared to other neighborhoods and cities as well which makes Olmos Park a very popular location with many people.
Olmos Park also has plenty of history; Olmos Park was originally developed in the 1920s as an upper class suburb that would cater to wealthy people looking to live close to San Antonio. Throughout the years the neighborhood and city has obviously changed significantly but the overall style and design of the city is still basically the same as it has always been. Given the age of the city it is also not surprising to find that San Antonio has expanded enough to completely enclose the city of Olmos Park, it is in fact completely surrounded by San Antonio like many other former suburban cities and neighborhoods. And of course the location of Olmos Park makes it quite convenient to get to downtown San Antonio; US 281 runs directly through Olmos Park and thanks to this residents are able to quickly and easily drive to downtown San Antonio in simply a matter of minutes. Olmos Park really is a great neighborhood that offers everything you would possibly want out of a premier and exclusive neighborhood; if you're looking for something a little bit more upscale than most other suburban cities and neighborhoods definitely make sure to consider the Olmos Park part of San Antonio as it is nearly unmatched by any other areas.
