Magnolia Information

Looking for apartments in Magnolia, TX?

Magnolia is a cozy, small town with the heart of a big city. Located just next to The Woodlands, Magnolia is a family-oriented town that values creating an inviting place for families to settle. Despite the small population of fewer than 2,000 residents, the greater Magnolia area encompasses approximate 12 square miles and includes over 60,000 residents.

The Magnolia Independent School District operates the schools for the city of Magnolia. Even though the town is smaller, the MISD covers over 140 square miles. For this reason, more than 8,000 students attend schools in Magnolia Independent School District's area. To meet the demands of the growing community, MISD has recently constructed a new high school as well as several new elementary schools.

Residents of Magnolia are also not without many options for leisure and entertainment activities. Unity Park is a city-funded park constructed to provide families and residents of Magnolia a place to enjoy nature, celebrate holidays, and conduct family outings. The park opened in July 2010 with a fireworks display. Other features of the park include a water splash pad, lookout points, walking/jogging trails, a pavilion for major events, an amphitheater, skate park, and many other great amenities. Magnolia is also home to the Texas Opry. The Texas Opry features nightly live country music and stage shows reminiscent of the Grand Ole Opry. Keeping with Magnolia's family oriented theme, the Texas Opry is a no smoking/non-alcoholic venue.
