Mesa Park Information

Mesa Park is a quiet neighborhood that is located just to the northwest of downtown Austin. Mesa Park is located near the city of Austin, obviously, but there are also many other communities and cities nearby that offer plenty of shopping and dining all within a very short distance. Like many other neighborhoods the Mesa Park neighborhood is somewhat controlled and monitored by a neighborhood association that plans events and get together events for the entire community; this is a nice touch that keeps many of the residents in Mesa Park happy.

Mesa Park is also a fairly large neighborhood compared to many others in the area. There are around 600 homes and residences in the Mesa Park neighborhood and the development plans are still underway so more homes are being added all the time. Throughout the neighborhood there are multiple public areas and parks that are shared by residents of the community; there is even an elementary school and local fire station right next to the Mesa Park neighborhood. Outside of the neighborhood there are of course plenty of shopping and entertainment areas that are easily accessible on the many highways and public roads.

One thing that sets Mesa Park apart from many other communities is the age of the homes and neighborhood. Many neighborhoods are all brand new developments while Mesa Park was predominantly built and populated in the 1970s and 1980s; because of this the homes are slightly older and have a little bit more character than many brand new homes in certain developments. Depending on what you are looking for in a home Mesa Park might be a great option because it simply offers great value for money due to the slight age of many homes. Otherwise the community is completely new as the neighborhood has undergone numerous facelifts and upgrades since the original design. The parks and outdoor areas are always well maintained by the neighborhood staff as well and there is even a neighborhood watch group to keep the entire community safe and protected. Overall Mesa Park has a great variety of features and amenities that make it an attractive and popular neighborhood; just outside of Austin it is somewhat difficult to find a community like this, so many people are absolutely thrilled to live in the Mesa Park community. As long as you are ok living slightly outside of the city Mesa Park is definitely a great option to consider for your next home.
