Downtown Plano Information



Plano is located just outside of Dallas and despite being a relatively large city Plano is considered to be part of the Dallas and Fort Worth metro area. Downtown Plano specifically is a very popular part of the city as it is a completely independent from Dallas but in many ways it is still a part of the bigger city. Downtown Plano is only about 25 minutes outside of Dallas thanks to the interstate system in the area and this short distance is really what helped make downtown Plano into a popular area.

Various parts of Plano offer different styles of living and convenience; downtown Plano in particular is truly unique though. Downtown Plano is a popular place with many residents because of the small city feel as well as the incredible convenience. Since Plano is the largest suburban city surrounding Dallas there are obviously plenty of shopping and dining opportunities in the area and all of these are conveniently located in and around downtown Plano. People looking to live in a convenient city without being forced to live in the huge metropolis of Dallas often choose downtown Plano because it is simply a good mix of the two lifestyles. Downtown Plano is not nearly as laid back and relaxed as many of the suburban residential areas but at the same time Plano is not nearly as huge or as busy as Dallas or Fort Worth.

If you want to live in a smaller city than Dallas but don't want to be completely separated from everything then you should definitely consider the downtown Plano area. Plano has plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options as well as plenty of residential options so there really is everything you could ever want. Downtown Plano is convenient to live in and at the same time it is conveniently located in regards to Dallas so you will never have trouble getting to work on time every day. Dallas has plenty of suburbs and surrounding cities but none of them have the convenient size and lifestyle that you'll find in downtown Plano; if you want to live in a city but cannot handle a city as big as Dallas you definitely need to consider downtown Plano as it is truly the best of both worlds in every regard.
