Village of Hawks Creek - Westworth Village, Texas
The city of Westworth Village is a relatively small suburban city which is located just to the west of downtown Dallas. Unlike many suburban cities Westworth Village is incredibly small; Westworth Village current is only about two square miles and due to the expansion of other neighboring cities it is unlikely that Westworth Village will ever expand onto more land. At this time part of the Fort Worth Naval Air Station Reserve Base occupies land that is part of Westworth Village as well; this base is a major reason many people move to Westworth Village as there is no other housing communities as close to base as Westworth Village.
Despite the small size Westworth Village has plenty of housing and apartments available. Westworth Village was originally renovated and improved in the 1990's after the nearby Air force Base was transformed into a Naval Air Station Reserve Base. Prior to that much of Westworth Village was rundown or deserted but numerous government rebuilding projects have really brought Westworth Village back to life. Westworth Village also claims to be one of the most financially sound cities within the Dallas-Fort Worth area; with the number of projects going on in the small city there is always plenty of government expansion and spending going on as well.
Obviously due to the small area occupied by Westworth Village there is not an extremely wide variety of shopping and entertainment immediately within the city although numerous nearby cities offer plenty of shopping and entertainment. Overall Westworth Village is nicely situated between numerous suburban cities that offer plenty of amenities and necessary shopping centers. A short drive in any direction will bring you to dozens of shopping and retail centers which are packed with various stores and shops.
For those who wish to work in Dallas Westworth Village is a great option because it is incredibly close to downtown. Because Westworth Village is less than 5 miles from downtown Dallas it is very well suited to commuters or others that want to work in Dallas without living directly downtown. Overall Westworth Village is a nice place and given the close proximity to downtown Dallas it is always a popular area. Westworth Village is also committed to constantly working to improve working and living conditions within the city so city improvement projects are continuously being developed and implemented.
